Ruiz Constructions was engaged by Cataldo’s to supply the Builders Licence and Project Manage the refurbishment of the base building at 3 Lonsdale Street, Braddon.

The existing tenants which included a large gym and printing office were relocated prior to commencement of the complex project.

The building was initially stripped back to its bare structural base and then modified to accommodate a new passenger lift, constructed almost entirely from glass.

All existing services rendered inadequate for modern accommodation were stripped back and replaced by new ones.

One of the many challenges of this project was to ensure that stringent specifications of the building’s internal finish, particularly those relating to lighting, security, communications backbone, and heating and cooling, met the high standards of the incoming government agency tenant.
